Lol, poor Cas. He's gonna be like one of those spouses who sits at the table staring into space while the other talks.
God being someone who is more an actual parent than a leader is a really good characterization. Being the person who realizes that they can't take sides if they want the fight to be permanently resolved.
Although, now that I'm imagining everyone fighting in matching granny sweaters, it's pretty funny. The sweaters are probably physical metaphors for something that you hinted at, but I've got a headache and am to lazy to think about it more.
